Though small in stature, the Avocent SwitchView 10025 is packed with advanced features. PC selection can be made through the keyboard or using the front panel push-button. Automated scan mode allows each PC's video to be viewed in sequence. The Avocent SwitchView 10025 hot plug capability allows PCs to be added or removed without powering down the switch or other attached servers. SwitchView supports PS/2 and IntelliMouse type mice including Microsoft Explorer, IntelliEye, Mouseman+, Marble+ and Marble FX.

Question: does this product just connnect to a cat 5 cable? with one box at the PC and the other box at a remote location i need to run about 100'
Answer: The 10025 does not use Cat 5 cabling. We have 2 different cables that will work for this switch. They are part # CPS2-6A ( https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/cps2-6a.html ) and CSER-6A ( https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/cser-6a.html )

Question: If no monitor is connected, will the Switchview still be sensed as a monitor and if so, at what resolution?

I have confirmed with the manufacturer that the Avocent 10025 would work with Windows 7 PCs. Though we have heard of some issued with Windows 7, we have not heard of any problems specifically for this switch.

Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunatly this KVM will NOT support dual-display configurations, however we do have such KVM's available in our Multi-Monitor KVM section.
