The Avocent AMX5130 desktop user station provides access from your desk to an AMX KVM matrix switch system and one local computer. The AMX5130 user station connects to your multi-platform PS/2 or USB KVM peripherals and sends the KVM signals over an industry-standard UTP cable to an Avocent AMX matrix switch. In addition, this user station brings audio and serial support to the AMX user supporting stereo speakers and mono microphone. Two UTP connections support AMIQs or a combination of AMX switch system and an AMIQ, allowing for multi-computer configurations along with local computer support.

Question: Can I control an Avocent AMX5010 from an Avocent AMX5030?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,
If your total number of servers is greater than 32 (supported by the AMX5000) or 64 (supported by the AMX5010), you can epxand / connect multiple AMX switches together to give dozens of users control of hundreds of servers from any one set of peripherals ('Tiered AMX System') - Please see the illustration below for reference.
For more information on 'Tiering' your AMX system, please refer to the AMX Installer Guide
