The KN4024VB KVM over IP switch allows both local console and remote over IP access, enabling users to monitor and manage their data center infrastructure over a network. This switch delivers high-definition video resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 and supports virtual media transmissions at twice the standard speed. To ensure secure remote access, it integrates a FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certified OpenSSL cryptographic module. Designed for reliability and high availability, the device includes dual onboard network interface cards (NICs). Remote management is accessible through WinClient and JavaClient, while ATEN's PadClient iOS app allows users to conveniently connect and control computers directly from an iPad. For network redundancy and troubleshooting, this KVM switch features out-of-band access with external modem support, ensuring administrators can perform BIOS-level diagnostics even if the primary network is down. It provides secure remote management of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, routers, and switches, via an independent management network separate from production traffic. If direct access through the production network is unavailable, administrators can still reach connected devices via the KVM switch's alternative access methods, including a local console connection, a USB console link from a laptop, a PSTN modem connection, or a dedicated Ethernet-based management network.
