Question: Can this unit handle 1600x1200 resolution? if so, what is the maximum distance for that resolution?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. While the spec table says a max resolution of 1024 x 768 out to 500ft is supported, the manual states that a max resolution of 1600 x 1200 can be reached. Range depends on the refresh rate and quality of cable in use.

1600 x 1200 @60HZ can reach out to 300ft
1600 x 1200 @70HZ can reach out to 250ft
1600 x 1200 @80HZ can reach out to 200ft

We would say that is the maximum expected range, results may very depending on a particular environment.

Question: Can LongView handle a wide screen display resolution of 1920x1080? If so at what distance?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,

According to Avocent, the LV430-AM "cannot handle 1920 x 1080". However Avocent recently came out with the LV3000 and LV4000 series extenders that may be appropriate for your environment.
