Thinklogical Dual Head DVI KVM X-tender System Transmitter, ST

The Thinklogical VIS-000024-STTX is a fiber optic Dual Head DVI KVM extender system transmitter.  The transmitter unit is connected to the receiver by three dedicated multimode fiber strands.  The VIS-24 fiber optic DVI KVM extender is designed to extend two DVI video ports and associated KMAS signals. The video sources must be single link DVI. The VIS-24 KVM extender system will support USB, PS2, and Sun (legacy) keyboard and mouse, USB tablets, full duplex stereo audio, and serial. The VIS-24 KVM transmitter has connections for a single local DVI display and keyboard/mouse.

The VIS-24 KVM extender is a digital fiber optic transmitter/receiver system. All video, keyboard, mouse, USB, audio and serial signals from the computer source are digitized and converted to light at the transmitter. These optical signals are then sent to the VIS-24 fiber optic KVM receiver via three fibers. Two fibers support the video displays and the other supports all other KVM signals.  The KVM receiver converts the video signals back from optical to DVI formats, which allows the use of DVI display devices. No external converter boxes are required. The system also has connectivity for all common keyboards and mouse types, USB, PS2 and Sun legacy. All electronic conversion, remapping and even international translation is supported. Everything you need to assure compatibility between the computer and the user station devices is bundled into the Vis-24 KVM Extender system already.

Note: The VIS-24 KVM extender, is fully compatible with all other Thinklogical extenders. The transmitter from one VIS extender may be used with any VIS extender receiver (excepting the Dual-Link DVI products). This unique feature allows customers to extend digital (DVI) sources to analog (RGB) destinations and vice versa.
