Question: What is the output voltage of the AC Adaptor? Are there any concerns connecting the splitter directly to the appropriate DC supply and bypasing the AC adaptor?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The output of the AC adapter is 5VDC/3.0A. According to the manufacturer, it would be possible for a 5VDC source/bus with 3A available for the Vopex unit to be used (depending on the source a DC-DC convertor may be needed.

There are a few solutions for a rack mount 8-Port DVI splitter:
- You use a Rack Mount Shelf for storing the NTI VOPEX-DVIS-8 in a 19" EIA Server Rack. To further secure the splitter, you could use for example zip-ties to attach to unit to a vented rack shelf.
- For a native 8-port DVI splitter solution that is rack mountable, you can either get the IP network-based Adder INFINITY DVI KVM Extender / Splitter solution, or the Gefen EXT-UHD600-18 8-Port HDMI Splitter with DVI to HDMI adapters.
