Adder VSC45 is a 1.7ft (44cm) Serial cable.
Question: Can you use this as a ethernet connectiom (for internet)
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry,
The Adder VSC45 is designed to be used for power control and linking options ports; The VSC45 is not intended for converting Serial into Ethernet TCP/IP transmission.
Due to lack of designed support in combination with the complex possible differences in Serial and Ethernet depending on your application (Ethernet standard, required bandwidth, Straight-Through vs Crossover Null Modem with Handshake / Simple Null Modem connections, parallel vs serial bit transmission, etc.), we are unable to guarantee compatibility for this use.
