The The MPUIQ-VMCHS-G01 is a (TAA) compliant server interface module for VGA, USB keyboard and mouse, supporting virtual media, CAC and USB 2.0. Used with Avocent DSR and Avocent MergePoint Unity switches.
The MPUIQ-VMCHS-G01 module is designed to drastically reduce cable bulk. Use the MPUIQ-VMCHS-G01 module to convert keyboard, monitor and mouse signals from a server through a single CAT 5 cable (4-pair, up to 150 ft/45 m) to your switch. The MPUIQ-VMCHS-G01 dongle draws its power from the server and has Keep Alive functionality that will keep your server working properly with or without connectivity to the MergePoint Unity KVM over IP and serial console switch or Avocent DSR KVM switch.
This MPUIQ dongle replaces the DSAVIQ-USB2-G01, DSRIQ-VMC-G01 and MPUIQ-VMC-G01 dongles

Question: What is TAA compliant? How does this differ from the non-compliant version MPUIQ-VMCHS?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. TAA (Trade Agreements Act) requires that the U.S. Government may acquire only "U.S. - made or designated country end products. This act requires that contractors must certify that each end product meets the applicable requirements. End products are 'those articles, materials and supplies to be acquired for public use.'"
The difference usually will only apply to entities working directly with or for the US Government where such standards are required.
Question: Will this work as a replacement for AMIQ-USB or PS2?
