The Emerson Cybex SC885 secure desktop KVM is designed to meet the stringent specifications of the U.S. government and comply with the requirements of the latest NAIP protection profile for peripheral sharing devices version 3.0. The SC885 delivers proven security features such as unidirectional data diode technology, which assures complete network isolation while offering user-friendly, easy switching between sources. A Dedicated Peripheral Port (DPP) permits a secure connection to external USB devices, including CAC smart card readers, fingerprint readers and face recognition devices. Patented emulation technology prevents Display Data Channel (DDC) signal leakage; and guards against signal attacks.
Industry-leading security features are complemented with a range of capabilities and productivity features that make the Cybex SC885 a great investment. Experience true image reproduction with support dual-link DVI-I, which delivers resolutions up to 2560 X 1600. NUM Lock, CAPS Lock and Scroll Lock indicators improve user interaction while maintaining unidirectional data flow from peripherals to PC. Additional usability features include, zero delay switching between connected sources and flexible assignment of audio devices.

Question: Does the Cybex SC 885 Secure 8-Port DVI-I Desktop KVM allow the Num lock, Caps lock and Scroll lock status lights be passed through so that they may be displayed on the keyboard?

The Avocent (by Vertiv) SC885 passes through any standard HID keyboard / mouse ("USB-HID") signal - including status lights for the Num lock, Caps lock and Scroll lock keys on your keyboard.
If however you were hoping to use those keys as "hotkeys" for switching - please be aware that for security reasons, NIAP certified Secure KVM switches do not support "hotkey" switching method.

Question: What is the expected lifecycle for this part? (E.G Approximate End of Life (EOL) and/or End of Sale (EOS) date)
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Vertiv has not released expected EOL or EOS dates for this device.
For reference, devices the SC885 is a replacement for, have an EOS date of 3/30/2018 and an EOL date of 6/30/2023.
Again, no announcement has been made for the SC885 and we could not speculate on an expected life-cycle.
