Question: My DVI-I to VGA adapter is not working with my SC440 switch out of the box
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, detailed product support is beyond the scope of this FAQ. That being said, here is something to check. Since there is no active signal conversion within the KVM, it is important to ensure that the same type of signal is passing from the target computer to KVM as is passing from KVM to the monitor. A DIV-D connection from the target computer to the KVM will only send a digital video signal, while the DVI-I to VGA adapter will only use analog signals. To use a VGA monitor you will need to ensure the target computers are sending an analog signal. If on the other hand it is a defective unit, you will want to contact the company through which you purchased the VAD-28. If you purchased this item through KVM Switches Online, please contact a representative directly at 1-877-586-6654 or via the online chat feature.
