The NTI XTENDEX (ST-C5V-600) (Remote & Local Unit) Extender broadcasts VGA video locally and remotely up to 300/600 feet away from a computer using CAT5/5e/6 cable. Each video extender consists of a local unit connected to a computer or the output of an NTI switch, and a remote unit connected to a monitor or the input of an NTI switch.

Question: Good afternoon! Does this unit need to be grounded?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry. The manual for this device states the following:
- Local and Remote Units should be grounded through either a display or source that uses a 3-prong power cord. If only one unit is grounded, shielded CAT5 cable should be used.
