The ADDER AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL is a VGA, Dual Video, USB 4 port switch with USB True Emulation Technology. It is a is a professional grade KVMA switch delivering ultimate flexibility for users who wish to share a high resolution screen and modern USB peripherals between a multiplicity of computers.
The AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL is designed to enable four dual-head computers to be controlled from a single high resolution KVM console using high definition analogue VGA video links. The switch makes use of Adder's True Emulation technology which enables USB HID devices to be continuously emulated to each computer. This unique technology enables instantaneous and reliable hotkey switching whilst also supporting the extra keys and features of enhanced keyboards and mice. Furthermore, the AdderView includes two independently switchable USB 2.0 channels and an audio channel, giving the user the flexibility to attach selected peripherals to different computers. Models are available supporting single, dual, triple or quad head VGA.
The AdderView Pro Multi Screen AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL features high resolution VGA video with extended profile DDC EDID. The extended DDC EDID profile ensures that the switched graphics card is always optimised to work with your screen. The VGA capabilities enable users to work at very high resolutions including WUXGA (1920 x 1200) or (1920 x 1440) for intensive applications such as medai/graphic design or detailed medical imaging.
Unlike most KVM switches, which only support the most basic keyboard and mouse features, Adder's revolutionary 'True Emulation' allows you to use the extra function keys, wheels, buttons and controls that are commonly found on modern keyboards and mice. You can also use any other USB interface device including graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks, 3D explorers, and wireless bluetooth keyboard & mouse*.
The AdderView Pro AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL includes two independently switchable USB 2.0 channels and an audio channel, giving the user the flexibility to attach selected peripherals to different computers. For example, use the KVMA console to work on one computer whilst your USB peripherals are connected to other computers and your speakers are playing music from yet another.
An integrated transparent 2-port USB 2.0 hub allows a vast range of USB devices can be connected to the AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL from non standard keyboard / mouse devices to flash drives, printers and scanners.
Country code reporting, extended DDC EDID profile and continuous keyboard and mouse emulation ensure faultless operation. The USB 2.0 switching action has also been carefully engineered to ensure maximum computer reliability when connecting and disconnecting USB devices.
The AdderView Pro AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL can be switched using the front panel buttons, selectable keyboard hotkeys, 3 button mice, an On-Screen-Display (OSD), or using simple ASCII codes via serial RS232. Optionally, you can also use the RC4 remote switch to make your selection. These switching options allow you to rapidly reassign connected devices to any of the connected computers.
The AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL works with all known software and computer platforms, with PS/2, USB and Sun, including Windows (all), DOS, Linux, Unix, BSD, all Sun OS, all Mac OS, NetWare, etc.
AdderView Pro KVM devices are delivered in a zero configuration state so you can plug them in and start working on them straight away. There is no need for drivers or software to be installed.
AV4PRO-VGA-DUAL can be linked with another Adder AV4PRO unit to create up to a 4-port triple-monitor, quad-monitor, 5-monitor or 6-monitor KVM Switching system, by using a VSC41 synchronisation cable.
