The AdderView Pro AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL is a professional grade KVMA switch delivering ultimate flexibility for users who wish to share a high resolution screen and modern USB peripherals between a multiplicity of computers.

The AdderView Multiscreen AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL is designed to enable four dual-head computers to be controlled from a single high resolution KVM console using either dual link DVI or high definition analogue video links. The switch makes use of Adder's True Emulation technology which enables USB HID devices to be continuously emulated to each computer. This unique technology enables instantaneous and reliable hotkey switching whilst also supporting the extra keys and features of enhanced keyboards and mice. Furthermore, the AdderView includes two independently switchable USB 2.0 channels and an audio channel, giving the user the flexibility to attach selected peripherals to different computers. Models are available supporting single, dual, triple or quad head DVI or VGA computers.

Full dual link DVI-I video with extended DDC EDID
The AdderView Pro AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL features full dual link DVI video delivering 4 megapixel resolutions at 60Hz capabilities enable users to work at very high resolutions including 2K (2048 x 1080) for film post production or WQXGA (2560 x 1600) for detailed medical imaging. DVI-I also allows you to use a mixture of digital sources, including HDMI and DisplayPort, and analog sources including VGA, using passive video adapters.
True USB 2.0 emulation
Unlike most KVM switches, which only support the most basic keyboard and mouse features, Adder's revolutionary 'True Emulation' allows you to use the extra function keys, wheels, buttons and controls that are commonly found on modern keyboards and mice. You can also use any other USB interface device including graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks, 3D explorers, and wireless bluetooth keyboard & mouse*.
Independent USB & Audio device switching
The AdderView Pro AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL includes two independently switchable USB 2.0 channels and an audio channel, giving the user the flexibility to attach selected peripherals to different computers. For example, use the KVMA console to work on one computer whilst your USB peripherals are connected to other computers and your speakers are playing music from yet another.

An integrated transparent 2-port USB 2.0 hub allows a vast range of USB devices can be connected to the AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL from non standard keyboard / mouse devices to flash drives, printers and scanners.
Fast & Reliable Switching
Country code reporting, extended DDC EDID profile and continuous keyboard and mouse emulation ensure faultless operation. The USB 2.0 switching action has also been carefully engineered to ensure maximum computer reliability when connecting and disconnecting USB devices.
Channel selection options
The AdderView Pro AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL can be switched using the front panel buttons, selectable keyboard hotkeys, 3 button mice, an On-Screen-Display (OSD), or using simple ASCII codes via serial RS232. Optionally, you can also use the RC4 remote switch to make your selection. These switching options allow you to rapidly reassign connected devices to any of the connected computers.

Multi-platform support
The AV4PRO-DVI-DUAL works with all known software and computer platforms, with PS/2, USB and Sun, including Windows (all), DOS, Linux, Unix, BSD, all Sun OS, all Mac OS, NetWare, etc.
Plug and Play
AdderView Pro KVM devices are delivered in a zero configuration state so you can plug them in and start working on them straight away. There is no need for drivers or software to be installed.

Will there be a model of this switchbox any time soon with USB 3.0?

Thank you for your inquiry. According to Adder, they are working on adding support for USB 3.0 to certain products. However, no timeline was given in terms of how quickly the roll-out will happen nor to which specific products USB 3.0 support will be added.

A major hardware upgrade would be required to add USB 3.0 support to the AV4PRO series, so adding support to this KVM will probably take much longer than other product sets.

What is the voltage level for the external control signals?

Thank you for your inquiry. According to out Adder contact the voltage level is as follows: 5V, 100mA max.

Are there ANY switchboxes you are aware of that can handle two DVI monitors (2 or 4 computers is fine) that DO have switchable USB 3.0?

We are waiting on some confirmation on the functionality from the manufacturer, but the only dual monitor DVI KVM that supports USB 3.0 we could track down is the Avocent SC945 (https://www.kvm-switches-online.com/sc945.html). This device does have one USB 3.0 port for peripherals, but as it is a secure KVM, it may limit the types of peripheral that can be attached. When we hear a definitive answer, we will update this post.

Does the ADDERView PRO Dual Screen DVI-I USB KVM support dualhead 5MP or Single 10MP medical monitor?

Each video head can support dual link DVI digital video at up to 450Mpixels per second. You could have dual-head medical monitor configuration with 4.5MP or i.e. WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution per monitor.
